Jan 23, 2004 3:07 am CHEAP simple RF transceivers and applications ...
Krishnan R.S.
Hello All,

I've got ideas for applications using cheap (I mean max $5) RF transceivers and various kinds of sensors. It'd be possible to for example monitor/automate watering your garden, or check for excess moisture in your basement, or toss a few sensors in you attic to detect vibrations/shock, or ... endless possibilites.

The catch to this being the CHEAP factor, and very good idiot-proof software to talk to the sensors.

Has anyone seen something like this ? Or have further ideas/thoughts on this ? I'm also interested in "viability" criticism!

Thanks,
Krishnan
