In the absence of media we would not have had access to so much information,or atleast not so quickly.
Now the media has become part of our everyday lives! We get up with a newspaper,we flip thru' mid day news,we end our days with 9pm news:)With all these reach media has a social responsibility(burden,if they take) to be a fair commentator,an unbiased conveyor. For now the medium has so much power vested with itself that it can sway the peoples moods & opinions from one end to another!
I personally habe been disappointed the way media shapes up the things! Whether its the Nuclear deal or Rahul GAndhi's travel across his constitution or an Iraqi journalist hurling shoe at a nation's president, whether its Mumbai carnage or a week's war at Jammu with militants' hideouts or the Satyam episode...the news had to be fairly dealt with. The Mumbai carnage was shot & broadcasted minute by minute! Was there a need to telecast the military activities with so much details?A Reporter sneared in CNBC yesterday's news that exchairman Ramalinga Raju will spend a night behind the bars!! Is that a matter to be sneared at? One of India's biggest IT companies is going down - its a matter of national shock!!!What's so funny in that to snear or giggle at that??? All this while Mumbai Carnage was the headlines, now its Satyam.I certainly don't see as only a news! Its shifting focus. Why the media is not following up on what's happening on international front between India,Pak,US & others on the view of war against terror?Only Pranab Mukherjee comes once in an while to comment on Pak's still denial mode!!OVER?! Wherz the follow up?Why the media does not dig up good news as it does with bad news?
I am angry.I am hurt. For all that's happening to my country in & around!I want a magical wand which if not practically atleat virtually gives me a feeling that everything's going to be fine!As every citizen, even media shares this responsibility of bringing the positivity & nurturing the hopes.Pls be some more sensitive, mindful of what you are projecting! Pls don't be callous of a national fallout! These are the moments we should stand with each other. Not apart!!
Hope we don't fail to provide the basic minimum respect to human race in all the practicality & knowledge we are bestowed with!

In oneway, i would like to say WE are responsible for the outcome,YES , we are curious in knowing how it happenned, but not bothered has the help reachedto the victims,Media was once the source the medi&um were people were reached by the policy makers to reach the public with their share of Information but was analysed , scrutinized whether it would suit public interest or not then the information passed on to the Public, but today's media is just curious to take to people whatever information whethere of public interest or not or it may create fear or not, they dont have time to scrutinize for the fear the other media house will pass on the information to the public.
So. it is on us the public to vouech for the media house which acts on truths rather than half truths or craves for Viewers attention by creating a mountain out of mole . Private Reply to krishnachaitanya nizam | | |
