People by nature LIKE to buy things. Why is that?
Buying is a basic exercise of our will...

We are WHO we are because of the choices we make
in life. It is this very POWER of choice that makes us
individuals. Without an ability to choose, we have no
individual freedom at all.
That said... people like to BUY. The act of buying is
an exercise of choice that makes us feel in control of
our lives and gives a feeling of power.
There is a great deal of teaching on the net today
about 'power selling' by pushing people's emotional
buttons... that people make buying decisions based on
emotion rather than logic.
Once a person decides to buy something (on emotion)
they later back up that decision with logical arguments
to support it.
While there may be some truth in those teachings, it
requires a great deal of salesmanship to push these
emotional triggers and "close the deal".
The problem with selling on emotion is that later on
the buyer has to come up with the logic to support an
emotional decision. And too many times this leads to
something commonly known as "buyer's remorse".
