Greencastle, Pa. died at 10:37 A.M. Friday March 13, 2009 in the emergency room of the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 7, 1926 in Six Mile Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Edna P. (Jenkins) Souders. She had worked at the former Baer Packing Co. of Greencastle, Knouse Foods and H.J. Heinz Co. both of Chambersburg, Heisey Orchards of Mercersburg and last in Quality Control for Musselmans in Peach Glen, Pa. Eva attended the Ebenezer (Guitners) United Brethren Church of Greencastle. She was a life member of the Chambersburg Amvets, member of the McConnellsburg V.F.W. and the Mercersburg American Legion. She enjoyed dancing and home canning food. She and her husband, Clyde W. Stoner were married June 2, 1945 in Hagerstown. He died on December 17, 2003. Surviving family are three sons, Glen C. (Husband of Darlene) Stoner, Greencastle, Dale L. Stoner. St. Thomas, Pa. and Jeffrey E. (Husband of Flora E.) Stoner Greencastle, two daughters, Patricia J. (Wife of Daniel R.) Daley, Greencastle, Lucille (Wife of Larry R.) Sellers, Chambersburg, one brother Joe Leroy Souders, McConnellsburg, Pa., 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and one grandson Galen Hager Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 21 at 10:30 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. David G. Rawley officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
