I have been sending you emails about how to profit from Traffic Exchanges for a while now and hope they have been helpful for you.
Right now I am at a standstill in wondering where do we go from here? Do we want to critique new Exchanges? Talk about successes/failures we've had with certain ones?
Should we branch off into new ventures, like Text Ad Exchanges, or Banner Exchanges?
There's so much out there and I know each one of us is looking to increase our business, especially during this economic downturn!
Or, we could each post an ad (only one per day, please)of one of our companies to let all the other members know just what it is we do and perhaps help each other by patronizing our businesses.
Just let me know, OR: just start posting!
Advertise your businesses, folks!
That's how we succeed!
Your Mod, Yvette

Your suggestions make good sense. My idea would be to use the "Sticky" posts to lead the members in the areas you mentioned:
1) "Introductions"... To introduce themselves and there business profile
2) "Suggestions"...To welcome possible new technology based ventures that compliment Traffic Exchanges
3) "Successes/Failures"...To critique what worked and what didn't
"Sticky" posts will draw attention to what areas you feel would be most beneficial along with adding members posts/ thoughts. As time goes on the information and suggestions should multiply and help to grow one's business. Making it a win-win situation for all.
Continued success to all, your friend and network member CB. http://www.hitekconnection.com

Not quite sure how to implement this, tho! Can you enlighten me?
Thanks! Yvette

Making a topic Sticky or non-Sticky Solution To make a Topic Sticky:
- Display the Topic on the screen - Click on the "Make Sticky" link at the bottom of the page, while viewing the Topic
This will make the topic appear before regular, non-sticky Topics in the listing of Topics, with a special icon next to it. Note: the listing cache will be updated within a few minutes of making the change, so it won't appear immediately.
To make a Topic non-Sticky/regular:
- Display the Topic on the screen - Click on the "Make Unsticky" link at the bottom of the page, while viewing the Topic
Hope this helps, your friend and network member CB.

Since you brought up the idea of "banner ad exchanges," I must confess an interest there.
In today's challenging economy, there is definitely a serious need to collaborate when it comes to business promotion. Many newspaper feature what are called "signature pages." You often seen signature pages during major holidays. You look on a page and the topic is "Christmas Bargains" and all thoroughout the page you see display ads from different retailers under that one banner. Well, all those advertisers likely went in together on the purchase of that page for a bargain price. If they had not and simply submitted the display ad to the newspaper for solo exposure, they would have paid the normal rate - a much higher price.
Well, you can place display ads online, too. In fact, you can place display ads online as animations. But, I don't want to do the signature page thing online. If I lease space for an animated display ad, I would like the freedom to remotely be able to change its content during the time I have agreed to lease the space. Is that being done by anyone? And, if it is being done, how is it being done?
Thanks to PayPal, it is easily possible to collect payment for an ad space in advance of its placement via invoicing each one of the group members. Then, one group member actually pays the online newspaper for the ad. But, wouldn't it be nice to be able to change the content of the ad during the advertising period to focus on each member business on a weekly basis? I believe this is doable. I am just not sure it is being done.
