Christians around the world take this day to embrace and celebrate the belief that Jesus Christ arose from the dead ascended into Heaven. Sitting at the right hand of the Father he fulfills the prophecy that We would receive a Savior who would free us from our sins and provide a path for all to gain access to the kingdom of Heaven
This is also the time of year that those in the Hebrew faith celebrate Passover. This holy period began this year at Sunset April 8 and ends on the 16th. It commemorates the release of the Hebrew slaves from Eqyptian bondage. Delivered after 10 plagues were cast upon the Egyptians, the last was the killing of first born sons. To mark their innocence the blood of a spring lamb was smeared upon the doorway of Hebrew homes and the angel of death would "pass over" that dwelling.
To those of you in the Hebrew faith I bid you Chag Pesach Sameach !
