Have you ever experienced an electrical shock when touching something or someone? It's amazing how much static electricity we can carry around with us. It can cause us to have headaches and car sickness as well I have heard, but generally speaking it is not good for our bodies. It's great to take our shoes off and walk bare-footed on the ground. Not only do we discharge this build up of static electricity, but we begin to receive electrons from the earth itself which are healthy and energising.

To experience the benefit of earthing your body without needing to remove your shoes, simply wash your hands under a tap or take a shower. The relief is instant. I have been using handwashing and showers for quite a while to relieve distress caused by hypertension. I saw it as a psychological divertion technique. Now, I realize that it is much more than that.

This seems to be an interesting tip (walking barefoot on grass relieves static energy). will try to use this and see how it helps.

Yes, there's been a lot of research done on this. Apparently our circadian rhythms are reset by contact with the earth. It has also been shown that our vital physiology is much better when we are earthed than otherwise.
