Michael Lemm | | Local business owners like you work hard. REALLY hard!
You are always involved in a flurry of activity...
o Managing finances o Working to attract and retain customers o Trying to stay a step ahead of the competition o "Everything else" that comes with doing-it-yourself.
Local business operators like you not only have to manage ALL the aspects of your company, putting in 60, 70, even 80 hours a week, but you also have to balance home and family life...while, of course, keeping an eye on your future.
Phew! It's one of the toughest jobs there is.
And at the end of the day, it just doesn't seem like you're doing enough. Especially in today's financial climate.
What if you could take your local enterprise straight to the Web ..... and get a real, measure-able, prove-able ROI ("Return on Investment") ?
All of this gaining you more visibility and business right in your own backyard ... your "local" market.
You can do that right here:

Lamar Morgan 707-709-8605 | | Michael and Teddy,
I think today it is extremely important for small businesses to have a web presence. Yews, having your own domain name is important. But, I also believe that having your own domain name is NOT ENOUGH. You need blog. You need membership in numerous networks. Why? Because you need to establish a presence where you can interact with other people and they with you. That makes involvement with Ryze, Ning and LinkedIn important.
But, is that enough? No. If it was enough, no one would be using Twitter. But, it appears people around the world are using Twitter. Why? Because building relationships with other people matters. And, if you are restricted in the number of words you can use to get your point across, so much the better.
Now, is that enough? No. Local small businesses need to be doing business with local customers in order to strengthen the local tax base. If everyone is going online to conduct business - and doing business outside their county of residence - the simple act of doing this business is going to weaken the local tax base. And, that is not good. What's the solution? Answer: Gateway portals. This is a site that showcases only local businesses and actively seeks to connect local customers to them. The higher the number of businesses on the portal, the better for each individual memeber in terms of Search Engine Optimization. A Gateway portal allows individual members to do more than place their own content of the site. It empowers them to create it at the site itself - be they slides, videos or online postcards. The gateway portal also provides a special lead generation system. Even your actual website can be embeded into the site.
