Nothing happens by accident. It took me many years to accept these two statements as being true. When we see terrible things happen in the world it is hard for us to accept that they happen for a purpose. This is especially true when we are personally affected by any kind of tragedy.
We have all heard it said that we reap what we sow. This is just as true of our actions as it is of the seeds we plant in the garden. Yet when we see innocent children burdened by tremendous suffering one must ask why. Well, we have to be fair about this. These children were brought into the world by their parents, and their parents, by their grandparents and so on. The decisions and behaviours of ancestors of tese children collectively over time and circumstances prepared the way as it were for the prevailing conditions in which this suffering was generated and cultivated.
The application of genetic engineering could have disastrous consequences on future attempts to cultivate plants for food. I said 'could', we don't know for sure, but man is arrogant enough to take the risks for the immediate gains that such manipulation of Nature might bring. It is one thing to mis-use and abuse Nature, but to make genetic changes by crossing te genes of animals with plants seems to me to be going way too far. It is simply scary, yet I believe it has a purpose, albeit to demonstrate that man has violated Nature's Laws and needs to pay the price for it. Learning can be a very painful process indeed and many innocent people suffer and die because of the foolishness of a few.
Take the aspirations and atrocities which were orchestrated by Adolf Hitler. Countless human beings suffered extremely degrading treatment and outright genocide. This too had a purpose, but how much has man learnt from it? History repeats itself in so many ways under different names, and of course always for the persuit of what is percieved as being the common good.
There is so much we can learn from history which we can apply to our own lifestyles for our own good, for te good of the world, and for the good of our progeny. It all starts with being grateful for the gift of life and the power to fill the world with love. Truly, love is what is needed. Whatever love we extend to others in the world impacts on us in the same way that the light shone on a mirror is reflected back towards its source. We truly need to fill our hearts , homes , communities , nations and the entire world with the light of LOVE so that the minds of men will be illumined and their hearts moved to do what is necessary to put a speedy end to human deprivation of starvation, abuse, exploitation and all forms of injustice. We need to up-root and close down pseudo charitable organizations which are misappropriating maybe billions of dollars which have been donated for the restoration of health and prosperity in the third world and even in our own communities.
Everything does have a purpose! How much more suffering needs to be manifested in the world to provoke able men to take emergency action to rectify these problems?
All right, I am sure you understand what I have said, but maybe you are wondering who you can trust. I mean, which organizations can be trusted to appropriate donated resources in the most cost efficient way. We need to check this out ourselves, and in doing so we should be prepared for some very disappointing shocks because we will find examples of how donations are being misappropriated and syphoned off by evil governments for other uses.
