There are so many new third-party applications coming out regarding Twitter, it is hard to keep track of all of them. One which I find rather fascinating is the one called "Twibbon." It is in essence Twitter's online answwer to ribbon of support for a cause. What a Twibbon does is replaces your Twitter photo for a period of time that you wish to support a particular cause.

For example, I plan to support Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's upcoming Nov. 19th Small Business & Entrepreneurship Conference in San Jose, CA. I am going to do it with a Twibbon of my Clusters symbol. If you visit my Twitter account, you will see the Clusters symbol in place of my photo. Of course, you can also visit Twibbon and pick up your own "Clusters" Twibbon.

For those of you who use Twitter with TweetDeck, just imagine you access TweetDeck one day and your entire screen is filled with Clusters Twibbons. That sends a very powerful message that something special is about to happen or is taking place. And, that is the whole idea behind Twibbons - to assist in the powerful promotion of an idea.
