I've spent a lot of time viewing the Ryze pages of new Ryze members since this network opened. People don't know what to do with the blank space called a Homepage.

Here is my suggestion.

Hello :D

That's a nice list of items to help folks get started.

I also encourage sections. Personal/family, business,
hobbies, action/requests.

I especially wish more people used a personal approach to
their home pages. Yes, it's hard to get started with that
blank page, but if you can write a few lines or paragraphs
about yourself, you'll find people respond to YOU more than
they respond to AD's you might place on that page.

Hi John, Eileen

Firstly John thanks for your invitation and encouragement to be more involved in your network here at RYZE.

I do hope to be more involved here in the near future, I've just been a little involved lately.

Thanks to my email folders I have some standard text introductions I use when joining new communities, forums blogs or networking sites.

You don't have to give your whole life story just a short summery of who you are, where you are from, what you are interested in and state why you are here and what you are trying to achieve.

With your RYZE or community pages you want to encourage people to like you so you can make new friends or business contacts.

Over the years online friends have been a great help to me.

Please visit my new web page and see my introduction post so you can see what John is explaining to you and what I am trying to convey to all who visit my ryze or community pages.

You can upload several pictures to your personal Ryze page.I think one of those pages should include in BIG LETTERS your CONTACT INFORMATION - oncluding your Skype Username - if you have a Skype account.

Congratulations!

It is a big plus to have a network that offers help to new Ryzers. You are in good hands here Michael and Eileen. It doesn't matter how long you may have been on Ryze, there is always something new to learn. In fact there is more to learn than we already know. Much more! That is exciting. I say that because it all boils down to results. If you are not achieving the results that you want, then there is a good possibility that you need to change your ideas and practice.
Everything I have said applies to me as much as it applies to you, maybe even moreso. I just want to express my thanks for this network.

T.E.A.M. Mom!
Well when I first started, my page was a mess, I had no idea how to use anything, even the editor and just sat down for whatever time I could find and worked on it. It came together in various stages, looked very unprofessional, almost kindergarten like when I finally came up with something and took the hard critiscms thrown my way.

After about 6 months on ryze, I got more accustomed to what feel or direction I should go with the page and decided to ask for some help from a few great ryzers (not here with us anymore) for advice. I was amazed at how much one was willing to offer to a novice, newbie to both ryze and online social networking in general and took this to become my next cause.... helping others.

My page has gone thru many many changes thru the last 5 1/2 yrs, from being a sloppy mess to what it is now. I tried everything possible to meet what other's expectations were and wanted it to be, but in the end, it is essentially what your focus is here for ryze. I have also lost my entire page contents 3xs, so I was basically forced to sit down and reinvent myself each time, which turned out to be a blessing.

If you are here to network, build connections your foundation should be aimed at that sort of information and details listed, brief bio, company title, links, etc, photo. If it is more for selling and building a client/customer base, than it should be concise, clear, well edited and formatted to reflect the image of that company/buisness you are with.

The one thing I have learned from my years here, you will never be able to please everyone and that what you can present to the best of your ability is all that matters. I have had tears, stress, anger, anxiety, hurt from some, but thru it all, I have also grown in ways of my life never possible if I had not taken the leap.

Educate, learn, review, ask, seek, accept what you can from those who have left their footprints in the ryze dust before you :)

Have a fantastic day! Patricia

Hi John,

Thanks much for adding me to your network. I'll read all the "getting started" articles you have available, and let you know if I need help.

I'm still new to the "social media" scene..slowly but surely getting the hang of it!
