What if Wednesday?Views: 61

Susan Graves
I used to sit and ponder what if? What if I could travel the world?

I would watch people come to work each day and whine, I may the choice
to take a leave of absense and travel for several months. It changed my life
and I tried to go back to the 9-5 and could not do the cubic world.
So now I do short contracts and other things to make a living. I know if
I get stuck in a rut there are other ways to live ones life.

One of my What if's was - What would it be like to spend a month or more treking?
I ended up Treking in Nepal with Mountain Sobek it was 30 days and then
3 days rafting down to Chitwan National Park to ride dugout canoes and
ride elephants looking for Tigers and Rhino. I did the Annapurna Circuit

So what are your What If's?

Who knows maybe someone here has done what you want to do and can offer you some
advice. I know some thought I up and jumped from the corporate world,
but I had been planning the leave for many months before I asked for a leave.
And when I returned to work, I started on an exit plan right away.

Good for you Susan! You choose to do what you wanted and you did it. It is true that the ways and means will be made known to us. I was tied so many years to care taking of sick family members. In 2006, I told my Mom that when she was gone, I would be moving to the tropics, didn't know which country, but here I am in Panama, 1.5 years after my Mom's death.

Barbara

You are an inspiration to us. So many people just never think to move to a
new country or even a new area. Hope you are enjoying the new surroundings,
sounds like you are learning about your new country.

Yes, I sure am learning, slowly, about my new country. It is sooo totally different from the US. The people are wonerful! So kind, so friendly, so laid back. I need to solve a few problems so that I can get on and learn more.
