Yesterday I visited a very modern public library in Australia.
The library was relatively new and so were the books, videos, and so on. When I visited the section for Spirituality I found very few books there, and the ones that were there dealing with Christianity were mostly heretical by mainstream theological standards. I certainly didn't find anything worth looking at. This made me really appreciate my personal library of ageless classics in many subjects which I have collected over the years. At the same time I couldn't help feeling sad for the younger generation who are obviously being fed a load of junk. Not just sad for them, but sad for everyone in the community.
Somehow we need to exercise some control over the eductional curriculum and adgenda to which our children are subject. The local public library is a good place to start.
