Richard "The Eagle" Motivator | | In light of all the News Stories of Identity Theft lately or personal Information stolen from Banks.
How do you protect Your Personal Information and Identity From being stolen or hacked ?
I never give out my personal information to a complete stranger. Nor do I open E-Mails from Complete Strangers.
It is important when using the Information Highway you protect and safeguard your Personal Information and Identity.
Remember, Your Banks will not call you or E-Mail you for Your Personal Information. They already have the information they need.
you should never open any E-Mail you do not know who its from.
Make your Password a Unique one and change it every so often.
This is a very important topic as a Lot of people have been hit by scammers recently as reported on the news.
Also be careful when using your banks ATM Machie for signs of tampering or something just not right with the machine. Report abnormal conditions to the Bank so they can investigate the problem.
Let's here your input on this Topic.

Kurt Schweitzer | | I often open email from unknown parties. Simply opening an email isn't the risk, it's HOW you open it.
First, my email client is Thunderbird, not Outlook. That saves me some right there.
Second, I have Thunderbird set up to open all email as text-only. This really isn't text-only, but in this mode a large portion of the HTML in any email is simply ignored. That also means that images aren't automatically opened.
Third, if I decide I want to see the full HTML appearance of the email, I'll hit "Load Images". This is something I very rarely do. Usually I've deleted the message before I get to this point.
Because of the above most email tracking programs (like Constant Contact) never count my mail as having been opened. Too bad for them!
By the way, any attachments have to be opened separately. That's fine with me!
A couple other points: My ZoneAlarm software scans all incoming email for viruses, and I have a large set of filters that sort and delete mail before I ever see it. Because of this I don't worry about the scanning and filtering my service provider may do on my behalf. They generally don't do much.
As for giving out personal information, I'm mostly very careful about what I post to the Web. I have Google Alerts set up to look for references to me, and I've been known to cancel memberships in fora that were supposed to be private that turned out not to be.
I still remember the desk sergeant from Hill Street Blues: "Hey! Let's be careful out there!" Private Reply to Kurt Schweitzer |

In the light of Our Busy Worlds how many hours do you spend on the Internet doing e-mails or shopping or whatever.
How many Hours a week do you spend online ?
I use to check my E-Mails 3 or 4 times a day. Now I check it about 2 times a day. I post ,my Motivational Messages on the Various Networks I post them on now only on Mondays and Fridays. I have cut back my hours quite a bit as I was seeing I was always online doing one thing or another. This frees up my time to do other things I need or want to do.
It's okay to spend time online if you are in IT or Website building but if you use it primarily for E-Mails or shopping you should try to limit your online time and spend some quality time with your family and friends offline.
Let's hear your tips or qpinions on this great topic.

John Snyder | | Because I seem to be constantly building Wordsearch Adz, I am nearly always on the Computer. As a resut, I am just a click away from checking my Email. Answering a post can be a small respite for me, as I am doing right now. I am in the process of building a Patriotic Wordsearch Ad and I really needed a break. When you join or become involved with a Business or Social Networking site Do you complete your profile Page to reflect you or just leave it blank and Hope for the Best?
Whenever I join a networking site online I always complete my Profile Page. Your profile says who you are to the other members of the Networking group. It is best not to leave it to chance and fill it out completely so it reflects who you are.

As a Business person do you use a reward Program or a Incentive for your Very Loyal Customers?
When I was growing up, My father bought his Gas at this One Gas Station all the time. It was the only Gas station he would use. They in turn sent out a little appreciation Gift each month. It wasn't much just a little something to show their Appreciation for my Dad's Business.
It is important that you show your Loyal Customers you appreciate them. Customers love to know they are appreciated.
I send out a little something to my Customers and also friends to let them know I appreciate their friendship or Business.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this great Topic.

Do you take the time to remember your Loyal and Faithful Customers and also your Family and friends on their Birthdays,Anniversaries and special Occasions?
I have a reminder service called "Memo to me" it is a free service online and I have everyone's Birthday and Anniversaries and special Occasions programmed into the Reminder. Itsends me a reminder e-mail a week before the event. I like to remember people with Cards on their Birthdays and Anniversaries and special Occasions.
I believe it is important to let your family and Fiends and also your Loyal and Faithful Customers that you care about them. It takes a little time but it can boost your Bottom Line in the Long Run.
As far as your Family and Fiends are concerned it is always great to remember them also. You never know when it would be your last time to remember the. We should have no regrets in Life when our time is up.
It would be interesting to see your thoughts on this great Subject.
