Kimberly Brownridge | | I am new to this advertising game, but I want as much exposure as possible. I have an online counseling company & I am wondering if using a car magnet is unprofessional. All feedback is welcome.

William Shaut | | In my opinion anything that gets your name out there is worth while as far as branding is conserned. Look at the advertizements in buses and cabs. They wouldn't do it if it wasn't effective.

Brant Mathis | | I spent 30 years in the out of home advertising business. That is billboards, bus shelters, stadium, buses, blimps, any advertising that reaches the consumer out side of their home. It works! It's a silent hard working part of any well developed marketing plan. What's the first thing a company does when it opens for business? It puts up a sign and says here we are and we are open for business. They do the same thing when they close. We didn't make it, so we are closing. If they had continuted to us signage while trying to grow their business they might still be open. You can have car magnets that are very tastfully done. You have to decide what the most important message is you want to convey. Most car signs are identifiers. Your company name, and contact info. There is a roofing company in my market that only has the name of the company in very stylish gold lettering on each of their vehicles. Very professional, tastful and seems to be easy to remember. If the consumer can remember your name they can find you. Make it eaiser with more info. It's all up to you as to the image you want to project. Good luck, Brant Mathis Private Reply to Brant Mathis |

James P Reardon Sr. | | I think for the most part William is spot on. Name and theme mean everything, the more you hear a name and have something to associate it with, people will be more inclined to lean in that direction.
They at the time may not know why or what is making them think this way, but once they find themselves in a situation where it requires that service then the most recent comes to mind usually or popularity, but popularity comes with time and cost of advertising.
For example you hear:
Then you hear 5th Avenue * A street * candy bars
Snickers - what do you think of 1st? * candy bars * to laugh in a covert or partly suppressed manner
That's the result of time advertising. Private Reply to James P Reardon Sr. |

Gazelle Simmons | | Kimberly, I've had many a person contact me from my car magnet. I love them and highly recommend them. If you have a car, if it can advertise for you, why not use it? Especially with the cost of maintaining a vehicle, you should definitely get something extra from it. Now to come up with something catchy to make people notice your company. My magnet is colorful against a black car so you can't miss it. Good luck finding what works best for you and God bless. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gazelle Simmons, Virtual Assistant/Owner of Admin Services – http://www.admnsrvcs.com Free Book Preview - http://gazelle.simmons.googlepages.com/twdnkpreview How to become a VA - http://vatools.frugaladnetwork.com/index.php/book-intro JOKE A DAY - http://todaysjoke-network.ryze.com/ Private Reply to Gazelle Simmons |
