Lamar Morgan 707-709-8605 | | I just saw a video on the Net. I want to think it is total nonsense. The video is about a treaty on global warming that President Obama is said to be planning to sign. This treaty is said to throw away America's sovereignty as a nation. That is so outrageous it cannot possibly be true. But, the video is very serious. What's going on here? Check out the video and share your thoughts.

I must admit, I haven't read it, only skimmed over a few of the 181 pages. The proposed financial assistance to underdeveloped countries begins at about Page 124.
I'm sure that even after I read the whole treaty, I won't really understand a lot of it ;-) But, I am going to give it a try!
In reviewing the treaty, I couldn't find any reference to the "world government" that Lord Monckton referred to. It does appear there are proposed penalities, for developed countries not keeping up in their efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. But, as I read it, the treaty has several alternative wording sections, which change or relax the rules of the game.
Also, I feel that Lord Monckton isn't really as much of a "climate authority", as he likes to portray. Here's a link to a review of his statements. What I think are most interesting, are the comments below the review:

I am a conservative, who has a passion for this planet. I truly believe that there will be enough experts in Copenhagen to figure things out. It's not just going to be a couple of people making a world decision for all of us.

I appreciate your stance, as I feel the same as you do politically, about our country.
However, I'm not quite as optimistic as you are about this whole thing. I do not feel like I can trust one person in Copenhagen to see things the way many in our country do, and because it will be the United Nations dealing with this, I feel strongly that things will not go the way you and I hope.

- One CNN reporter says it's so....and so it is?
- Universal ID cards w/scan strips by 2008...where are they?
- A "Rockefeller" family member's predictions....how bout we talk to Billy Carter and get his take?
Has anybody really READ this "North American Union" and know what the pact lays out, or are we just taking the word of someone else?
Good grief! I realize that I don't have the whole story either, but you've got to use some common sense, please.
