Bud Holder
Have you ever wished that you could write a letter that would somehow, some way influence a person's life. A letter that would really make a person think, and in some cases make them feel that it was time for them to really make a change. Not only change their life, but help change the life of the people closest to them. I want to tell you how my day went, why? Because I really feel it has to do with building your GDI business.
I know that a lot of you out there might not want to hear what I have to say, but in all fairness I feel that if I were to try to tell you this in any other way it would not come out right. You see that at this point in my life, I have come to the conclusion that I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain if it helps you and your families.
My dream and my goal is to hopefully instill in you all that YOU need to change your life. So hear it goes, we lost a fellow Christian church member last week by the name of Eleanor. She loved the Lord and she read her Bible faithfully each day. As we listened to our Pastor today he talked about how passionately she loved the Lord, but more importantly, the legacy she left behind for her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. The pastor reminded us of the importance of how we should each think about the legacy we leave behind for our families. I thought a lot about this, I know my family has watched me over the past 35 years see more failure than successes. But, in my heart, I knew where I was going. I never lost vision of my dream. My concern was more for my kids and family, you see I noticed early in my life that they lacked faith, BIG time. It was up to me to stay strong, and show them that faith would win out. Please don't think that I take the credit, oh! How foolish I would be as a lady almost 60 years young to not know that I am nothing without the Lord. I give Him all the credit.
But, my job is not done, you see I want my legacy to be like Eleanor's. My fellow affiliates, I am NOT talking about money, I am talking about you and me leaving a legacy for our children. I know I want my children to see me as a person that never, ever gave in to failure. I want my children to say she had the will power to never give up. I want my children to say that I wanted to see other people succeed more than I wanted it for myself.
My dear fellow affiliates, we each have been given this gift, and my dream is that each and every one of you see it, and more importantly feel it. We can talk about autoresponders, leads, mass emailers, etc. all day long, but when it comes right down to it nothing in the world will compete with the human spirit that our great Lord has given each and every one of us.
Your desire, is truly the greatest gift you have, believe me I know. If you personally knew me you would say that I was the least person on this planet to succeed. My knowledge is limited, so is my education, but my heart and desire out weighs what I lack. Trust your faith, trust yourself and when you ask for guidance I hope you will look to the ONLY one that can help you and that is our creator, our Lord Jesus Christ. Believe me He has helped me through many crises in my life more than anyone can imagine. How foolish it would be of me to think I did it alone.
Now yes, there are many tools that we have learned to use to help us build our GDI business, but here again it takes discipline and will power to learn how to use them. Here again I need to say you need to go back to the source, our Creator. You see it all works together.
Successful networkers say you have to have a system, and that is true, but I believe you must first share with your family your dreams and let them know that it is going to take time away from the family, let them know you are doing it for them. Ask them for your support, and even ask them if they want to join you. What this does is keep peace in the family so that you do not feel guilty taking time away from them, especially if you already work a full time job, like most people do.
I have heard so many times from men and women that their spouses just didn't like the idea of doing another one of those programs. I feel sorry for these people because building a business is hard enough, but when you don't have the support of your loved ones, it just makes it that much harder.
I feel that when your children are exposed to entrepreneurship they see that their future doesn't have to be spent working 40 years for someone else. I have always felt that a family that has zero money problems get along so much better than a family that is struggling to make ends meet. In some cases money isn't a problem, when both parents are working so many hours to make the money there is NO time for the children. I grew up with a mother who worked outside the home, and then as a single mother myself I worked two jobs, I never had the time to enjoy raising my own children. In this day and age I bet a lot of mothers would rather be home with their children instead of working, the unfortunate thing is that the cost of living is too high and they are almost forced to work to meet the monthly bills.
Never before in the history of networking have we had what we have now. I feel each and every one of us who seriously takes the time and makes a commitment to build a home-based business will become very wealthy. Everything is there for us, we have computer technology that is helping us sign up people all over the world, we have a business that is strong, debt free, global, simple and affordable, tie this together with the home-based business revolution and you can see the power of a force of people that can really leave a legacy to their families. Not only financially, but when you are wealthy you can be more generous to your family, friends, church and parents. Like I said it all works together.
I hope someday that my legacy will be one that I will be proud of, I hope it will be that I reached my goal to help as many as others as I could, In hopes that they will do the same with the people in their lives. I truly believe that together we can make this world a better place, and more important leave it a better place. For ALL the generations of children that will follow us.
Take care, and may the Lord richly bless you and your families.
