Wow, 2 new Directors!Views: 65

I was just reading the posts and see that we have 2 new Directors! That's awesome!

I am working towards becoming a Director and just would like to know how long it took you to acheive the dream, and what were the most valuable things you did to achieve the goal?

I know everyone is different and on a different timetable, but I feel that I learn something valuable from everyone. Everytime I think I'm getting discouraged, I see someone else become a new Director. I know is is possible and reachable so I like to know how people are doing it!

Thanks.

Hi Laura,

I think the most valuable thing I did was to be consistent and be determined. And have systems in place. Systems help me get to the next step of everything. My system for new customers--- they go on my customer email list, they go in my database, and they go on my pcp. My system for new team or unit members--- they go on my team member email list, they go in my database, they get programmed into my home phone and cell phone, and they get put up on my unitnet site and get an orientation packet mailed to them. I have a system for almost everything I do in MK, so nothing is thrown at me as a big surprise--- I'm just always moving to the next step. I know that's not everyone's style, but it works for me! I wish you the BEST of luck in becoming a director! Do it fast-- slow is HARDER!

Systems are absolutely the answer. If your systems don't work, neither will you. Your systems don't have to be the same as someone else's, but you do need to find or develop the systems that work best for you!

I started my business exactly 2 years ago and became a Sales Director and earned my Vibe 5 months ago. I now have a DIQ and another quickly approaching DIQ status, which means that organization is also extremely important for my business to run smoothly and effectively. Systems are definitely key but you also have to stay committed to the goal and put time in now. The time that you put into reaching your goals now is time that you will have for yourself and your family later. Remember, it's always a short-term loss for the long-term gain. You HAVE to make goal posters, affirmation tapes and listen to motivation and training cd's daily. Get your spouse/significant other excited about your business as well so that they look forward to reading Applause and share in your goals and dreams and constantly ask you "Who is your next recruit?" or "How many appointmen's do you have scheduled for this week?" You must find someone to be accountable to and it will make all the difference in your journey. Best of luck!!
