Leslie Freude SkinCareGirl | | Mary Kay Inc. has committed in excess of $1 million to aid in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The Mary Kay family throughout the world grieves with each victim of this, one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history.
As emergency response teams continue to work through the devastation, the Company is in contact with first responders and others assessing damages as we determine the most effective means to allocate these funds. More specific details about Mary Kay’s donation and how you can help will be forthcoming. Please know that we are making every effort to create an opportunity for you to contribute money earmarked specifically for victims within the Mary Kay family. We’ll provide more information on this site when we know more.
Be assured that our giving will include all phases of the relief effort including immediate emergency response and rescue, recovery and damage clean-up as well as long-term rebuilding. There will be funds set aside for members of our Mary Kay sales force family that have suffered, and we will make every effort to reach out to comfort them even as we help them recuperate and rebuild from the devastation they have faced.
As in previous disaster situations, our goal is to help those in need and to channel your generosity towards those efforts that will help the most people. As mentioned above, we’ll provide more information on this site when we know more. Please keep in mind that the overall relief effort is still in a state of flux.
We are also looking into volunteer efforts in various locations including Dallas, along with donations of food, clothing, shelter and other needed items. We will keep you informed and plan to continually update you via this Web site.
In the true Mary Kay spirit of sharing our blessings with those less fortunate, we continue to keep all these families in our prayers as we reach out to help.Private Reply to Leslie Freude SkinCareGirl |
