I am planning to take up a documentary film on konkan. It will be half an hour docu on history, region, language pattern, places, people, lives of konkan. Though, I myself come from Konkan region (Sangmeshwar Taluka), I do not have much of a reference material; So if anybody has anything which might be of use to this docu pl forward it to me on amolkhamkar@gmail.com. Please note that this docu is not a travel promotion film but of an archival materail of konkan.

Prasad Bapat | | Hi Iam Prasad R Bapat from Pune, I have published a Tourism Multimedia CDROM on Konkan, 'The Konkan Get-Aways' It covers all the areas from Alibag to Terekhol in Goa. I spent nearly one whole year on this project (I travelled nearly 7000 Kms.),
I visited all the places (nearly 100 places have been covered with 250 photos an 100 video clips, took photos and video shooting and collected all the relevant info like routemaps, Hotels.
The CDROMs is available for sale at Popular Book store on F.C. Road, you can buy a CD, it has lots of information.

U can visit a waterfall at Napane, Vaibhav wadi, Dst. Sidhudurga. It falls 12 months. It is about 10 km. from Vaibhav wadi Rly stn.U can add to ur doccumentary. Second [12 months]water fall at sakaharpa, Sangameshwar, Dst. Ratnagiri.

would be delighted to help you on this subjec as its a place to close to my heart. I have reference material but in form of printed stuff, quite insightful and detailed. But then how do we take this forward ?

Looking at the the description given, its not clear whatexactly u want to cover in ½ an hour docu on konan - I mean each sub-region may require more length on time line, if described in details. Hence, I have a feeling that it can be generic docu only. but that again depends on the purpose. BTW, if you describe in details, there is a lot of material available in various form.
BTW, u look familiar - Ruia college? Anukool's friend?
