Personally blogging is a very sublime way of marketing yourself...it sells..
Sadly the viability of having such a blog would depend on which jurisdicyion the said lawyer is working or practising in..for eq..in malaysia there are very stringent laws imposed upon by the Bar Council on advertising...as such its would be a fatal blow to ones legal career to actually blog...
Well thats my opinion..on the whole blogging is good

Thank you for your response. I guess we should convince your government or legislator to allow legal blogging. Essentially, legal blogging is about sharing views on legal topics and providing people with legal information for free. There is nothing wrong about that in my humble opinion.

rachel | | i agree with you 100% ...blogging indirectly is an indirect, subtle and sublime way of marketing and networking... sadly in malaysia the legal profession does not move with the times..i think lawyers ought to go out and advertise or even blog...
