A signature block is the closing to your posts. This is the way that others identify with you and your business.

First, let me reiterate that there is no way to capture your signature block in Ryze, so the easiest way (that I have found and if anyone knows of a quicker way, please let me know...) is to save it into a Word file and simply copy and paste each time you use it.

I find it easier to just keep the word file open while I am using Ryze (which is intermittently throughout the day). Once I have copied the text to the Clipboard, I can just paste it in whenever I need it.

Now, what do you put into your signature block?

NOT YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND NOT YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS! Not everyone on Ryze has the same ethics that you do and you WILL find yourself on Spam lists. Giving out your phone number is a quick and easy invitation for every eager salesperson to target you for a cold call! Remember that Ryze is a PUBLIC board and NON-members can read these posts too!

Also, if you have a home based business, it is better to either not include your physical address OR to get yourself a P O Box number and use that.

Back to signature blocks...... Ryze is contemplating the limit of a signature block to four lines, so what can you do with four lines?

** Your name
** Your title
** Your URL
** Your tag line

Always include your web address (URL) in your signature block because this will help to drive business to your web site. The assumption of course is that you have a really compelling Home Page, that is irresistible to customers and you will generate business from that!

Some people use HTML to include a graphic in their signature blocks and while this is good for branding, I think it will shortly go away, in favor of plain text.

BTW.
Don't use a signature block in Guest Book entries - your first name is sufficient. Guest Books are an ideal place to make contact - they should not be used to advertise your product or business.

I hope that this has helped some of you and if you have any further suggestions, we'd love to hear them!

(Remember, I am NEVER too busy for your referrals!)
