I have been looking into "healthy" candles lately to give as gifts at Xmas. Most of my friends and family are not into organic but I still like to give healthy gifts.
I know soy candles are supposed to be good; and using essential oils instead of fragrance oils is a must! Also the non-lead wicks. But have read several articles online that say that even with all this the soot that is put out by candles in general is not healthy.
Can anyone comment on that?

We all burn candles. Burn candles in moderation and with good air circulation.
I only use 100% bees wax obtained from a bee keeper (or from a trusted non-commercial source).
The smell is just beautiful.

Yes, I believe there is. Soy candles are definitely best, over your regular wax candles. I would recommend either Mia Bella or the new company Marlo Quinn. These companies use only the best ingredients to make their candles.
