What is your definition of sustainabilityViews: 509

While I do use organic personal care and household products I am just now becoming more environmentally aware. Have been doing a lot of looking around online to get more info on green companies and their philosphy. Everywhere I go they mention sustainability and everyone has their own definition of this word. Very confusing for a newbie.

So what is YOU definition of sustainability? Would love to hear from those at this network.....

That is a good questions. I would say sustainability means being able sustain ourselves. What I mean by that is that we are able to provide nourishement to our bodies and maintain a clean environment. We can use food as a way to just live, or we can actually NOURISH our bodies by feeding it foods that don't have lots of harmful pesticides and chemicals. Also, we can just clean our house, or we can clean it with products that are safer for us and our kids and that help ensure a clean environment.

We aren't going to live forever, but we can help make our life much better by the way we treat our bodies. We can improve the quality of life we live by eating well, incorportating exercise into our daily scheule and using products that are not filled with toxic chemicals.

Sustainability is being able to live off of the land and be in harmony with the earth.
