Pankaj Prakash | | Just heard the FUFA Anthem comoposed by Maddy and the idea came to me...
I would like to make a film based on the concept of FUFAgiri.
What do you say FUFA ji and all you others.
Who all would like to be part of it and in what capacity?
It would be fun making it and I am sure it could be a run away success.

FuFaji Lalit Vashishta | | Good Idea Prakash, share more of what you have in mind, while others also contribute
FuFa board has been very busy re-writing the scripts for Mughal-e-azam and Sholay and many stars were born over the couple of months.
Come on the Film team of Fufa we want more ideas from you to take this concept further. . . . the network is full of talented members who can contribute a lot.

Pankaj Prakash | | To listen to the Anthem go to Maddy's page and from there to the link provided for his sample work. There sitting pretty is the the song of songs, the FUFA song.
If anyone has any ideas about the story for the FUFA film please contact.
All I can say at this juncture is that it should be the most hillarious film of the decade, am open to suggestions.

FuFaji Lalit Vashishta | | Yeh kahaani hai ek aise insaan, jo thak chchukka hai- zindagi se tangg aa chuka hai
And then sequence of events - spiritulaism ( dhongi baba)
Aur hoti hai uski talaash - - masti mazaak aur humgamme se bharpoor - is kahani mein ek hi message hoga
"tension mat le - bas kuchch fufa karte reh"
Aaakhir sab se khushi insaan ke andar khud chchuppi hai. bas usse apne us bachche ko jagaana hai, jisse usse ne college ki kitaabon, aur roz-marra ki zindagi mein dafna diya tha.

Pankaj Prakash | | There is one simple way of coming up with a very good story/script for the film.
Keeping the above (Sir L.'s mail) as the basic line for the story, everyone who can should start contributing incidents, either their own or someone else's that they know off. Just keep in mind that there should be an element of fun and humour in it, even if it is steeped in tragedy.
Once we have sufficient matter I shall have it sifted and will get it woven into one strong script.
I shall be discussing the financial logistics of the film with Lalit and we will get back to the group with relevant details in due course of time.
Since we are making a FUFA film, we would like to have the involvement of majority of the members of this group. In what way? We will get back with details in due course of time. Till then if you have any suggestions go ahead and tell me.
One thing which could be added to the basic line is that ... The protagonist on his path of 'Talaash', and attainment of the same, ends up doing something great for the society. It could be anything effecting his immediate locality, city or country.
So start contributing with the incidents and become an active participant in the making of the FUFA film.Private Reply to Pankaj Prakash |

RVIyengar | | The idea of making a film with people who are part of a network is interesting. And, a movie based on such an idea ought to be episodic in nature, at least in the first half. The movie can have five main characters. These are individuals with varied background: economic, social, and cultural. These are individuals who are in good positions (jobs) and earn more than sufficient money. They search in their own ways for that elusive thing called happiness. One tries to find his happiness in acquiring more and more - more money, properties, and so on; one tries to find her calling in dresses, fashion accessories, and page 3 circuits; one tries to find his nirvana in hanging out with his friends, splurging in bars and clubs; one feels that one-night stands and dope are the be-all and end-all of life; and the last one is into religion and rituals. (The movie traces their individual lives in separate tracks up to this point.) However, each one of them soon gets disillusioned with what they believed in. A quirk of fate sees them sign up an online network. Their paths cross. They exchange views and become online friends. They meet each other at a network (FUFA) meet. They share their personal experiences, and each one learns from the others' experiences. They join hands to make a difference: to their own personal lives as well as to the lives of those around them. How this group (of individuals), united by a common purpose, leaves its impact on the society forms the second part of the narrative. Humour has to be an integral part of the movie. The first half, which depicts these individuals' search for happiness in material things and self-indulgence, has to be presented with loads of humour and insight. The humour serves to bring out the pathos. You laugh at them, for you know you are one of them. You laugh at their predilections, at the futility of searching for happiness in self-indulgence, and at the meaninglessness of it all. The second half conveys the message of the movie: the meaning of life lies in making a difference, in bringing meaning to the life of the less privileged. But, this part has to be handled very carefully. In its desire to give a message, the movie should not end up didactic or preachy. The movie must avoid tedious moralizing. Instead, it should present situations and characters in different shades to subtly deliver the message. The other important ingredients include short, crisp and contemporary dialogue, vibrant and catchy music, out-of-the-box cinematography, and crisp editing. A tentative title for the movie could be: FUFA's Five. Takers, anyone? Private Reply to RVIyengar |

lalit mohan | | Great Idea... The film can be a take on the situations around us...with an underlying message....Being a FUFA rocks...
my take-> Lage Raho Fufabhai... Sri Fufaji Fufaji (Jhola chaap Daaactar)...
any additions...?
and of course who better to play the lead other than me.....the most fufa individual you will ever meet...certified by the Fufa Institute in Dallas... Wo bhi delux quality waala..

Maddy | | Ok....so the discussion starts...finally. But let us have some whacky options too.
Say...something like "Vikram Vetaal". The Vetaal tells a story, and finally poses the question. Vikram says that the answer is so and so cos the hero went to the Fufa Mixer, and learnt the real essence of life. Vetaal says, "Sahi jawaab....par tu bola, aur main chala." The Vetaal runs off with Vikram giving chase. Vikram notices that the Vetaal is not going to his tree. "Mr.Vetaal....aap kahaan ja rahe hain?"
Vetaal smiles sheepishly and says..."Where else, my boy?"
Cut to both Vikram and Vetaal in three-fourths and Fufa T-shirts...dancing in the mixer. The Fufa song in the background.
Lol....
Cheers~
-Maddy.
P.S- now fill in the story of the Vetaal if you like the concept.
Otherwise....next please!
Cheers again~

If we want to propel the idea further, we need to crystalize and summarize as to what we r looking out of the movie.
Once we define the parameters, we can move forward at a brisk pace.
One seemingly stupid question.
Yes, we all talk of FUFAGIRI, but what do we really mean, in terms of story idea for a film? Private Reply to Hasmukh Gandhi |

Pankaj Prakash | | It seems no one reads the full chain of postings properly.
I have requested you all to come up with anecdotes and personal experiences and post them on this chain. I and others will wean through them , using the choicest ones and weave it around the story of a group of hard working guys who desperately need and want to breakout in life and bole to just do FUFAGIRI. The thin line of the story would go on the following pattern... Nikle the Fufagiri karne aur ant me kucch kamal ho gaya.
Think on these lines and make your posts related to this.
Baaki actors aur doosray kaam baad main honge.
By the way I intend to make the film, cause I see great possibilities here. Aur apnay paas Title song bhi tayyaar hai.
Gandhi ji, FUFAji ne to aapse kaha hi thaa ispay kucch likhnay kay liye. To shuru ho jaiyay. I believe you are good at comedy. If you want, or for that matter anyone else who wants to get in on writing the script, lets connect. We can have a sit in on the subject some time soon at FUFAjis' place as per his convenience and take it from there.
We already have a Director, and Music Director in place for this project.
Presently we want writers who are interested, to come forward.
For any other positions people can start speaking up, but preferably once we have the basic script in hand. I shall announce the same on this network in due time.
Till then think, remember, and post from your past. Private Reply to Pankaj Prakash |

On a Path to NoWhere | | Now there I was waiting for the last local from Kurla station and as always, it seemed like the whole of Mumbai was there to get on that train. The train announced its arrival, less by the lady with the shrill voice but more by the hullabaloo it caused within the present humanity, and people were on their running feet trying to get into the train before it could stop. And then I saw one person’s hand slip by the train door rod and he fell in the crowd, skidding with his momentum along the train for a while. I was quite far away from him then and there was this huge crowd around. People kept running towards the train and he lay there unable to get up within throng of running feet, some even pushing his attempt back to the ground. When I got close to him on my way to board the train, I saw him lying resigned, not even trying to get up. His face had this feeling of defeat, defeat by betrayal. A man betrayed by the people of his ‘own’ city. Who cared more about their boarding then his body in their feet. And I saw him there, on the ground while the crowed took me with it into the train and blinded by the lot of bodies around me I lost sight of him.
(I saw this incident last night and it was first such incident I saw in Mumbai with people I have seen to be so helpful to each other. May be it was stray incident but It was not a nice thing to see) (An incident though not a humorous one but a strange truth it is)Private Reply to On a Path to NoWhere |

But nonetheless, as a FUFA member I can say that let us know what we r talking about.
We have got to be very very specific about the theme, finances, commercial viability etc.
We have got to be outrageously frank....
Last time I was told that we wanted to make film on "FUFAGIRI"...
I m sorry, I m not convinced....We shud make movie for the audience at large...
Let us know what exactly we r talking about....
