Nice idea for the site, I like it.
Here's a few observations:
Design inconsistent! To many different fonts, colours; personally i would revamp the whole thing and have some real consistency througout.
As a first time user its hard to find a common menu and browse the different sections, which are not clearly depicted.
Product listings take up too much space, user has to scroll down to read. Products should be listed as short descriptions with thumbnail images and perhaps a read more button.
You have to many highlights throughout the site, I dont know what I'm meant to be reading!
You should include the left hand category menu on all pages.
It might be worth you looking for a new web designer. There are other solutions, such as purchasing a shop template and adapting it to your site for instance.
