Had nuclear deals
Bombs and civil wars
Which in newspaper lingo
Was the happening thing today
Don’t blame us, they say
It’s our living
All the promises I heard
From prime ministers and presidents
Had peace, democracy
And reigning in the madly growing terror
Which in political lingo
Was meant to allow them to earn their billions
While these public issues will help the next candidates
To make his.
Or her billions. Or more
Don’t blame us, they say
It’s our living
All the notes I read on blog sites, net-fora and such free-to-air-sites
Had products, solutions, medicines
For you and me to sell and become annual millionaires
Which in Internet lingo meant, there’s a sucker born every Internet minute
Don’t blame us, they say
It’s our living
All the advertising
That I saw happening last week
Had client-interventions in ad agency layouts
Headlines, images & TV commercials
Which in advertising lingo was
Client bucks had patent rights to tweak tits
Don’t blame us, they say
It’s our tweaked & blissfully living tits
All the sports on TV
I watched happening last week
Had fabulous healthy bodies hitting or kicking
Great scores that had half a million
Middle class people like you and me
Freaking out and screaming
For such healthy diets
And maintaining such healthy schedules
To rehearse, play and rush
To get made-up, hair blow-dried & treated
For the dozen TV commercial to be shot
As they play at ease
For multiple cameras
Whirring from few dozen angles
Canning in a few score-dozen takes
To make darn sure our sports people look oomph & oompher
No sweat
Just gorgeous silken hair bouncing
To give their strict & regular alleged diets
Of fiber and a few milligrams of white meat
A few extra billion bucks in sales
Besides the few extra billion bucks they sail away with
Don’t blame me
I was just reporting what my eyes, ears and heart
Witness every hour of our 24 X 7 lives
And I was weeping
Weeping over what will my children grow up to
Of course I can wake up
And kick ass
Which is much harder
Than posting these blogs
But that's the answer my friend
To an enlightened and empowered world
Ruled and raped by the rich
