Can anyone suggest some nice weekend getaways from Pune.Maybe at a distance of about 150-250Kms..

-Mahabaleshwar which is around 120Km.
-Murund Janjira
-Divyagar
-Ajanta Alora etc.....

Check out this book at crossword - 52 weekends from Mumbai from Outlook Traveller. It has details of 52 locations in and around Mumbai-Pune. I have visited couple of places based on that book and I found it worthwhile..

mangesh prabhudesai | | malshej ghat sucks... i think its hyped big time and when you go there you will see 100s of ghatis lofars moving around with bottle of beer or cheap local alcohol making noise....if you are bunch of boys and wont bother of all that crap then go for it.. however its not suggested... with family its a NO NO... i have been there with 3 friends out of that 1 was a girl so we did not bother to get out of the car... its pretty but not that pretty that you will have to face all the lowest of low... cheers Private Reply to mangesh prabhudesai |
