John Mack | | Not sure where to start, your background is a little strange, doesn't fill the whole screen then scrolls with the page, There must be 100 links to other pages on each page and I don't follow most of what is on the page so it doesn't make much sense to me.
If you were my customer I would suggest a more simple home page and break the rest into categories,then use the same area on each page for content. With the amount of information on your site you could effectively use rollovers to change content based on clickable images.
Your site is in serious need of descent design work. I am sure someone has spent a great deal of time making it what it is, but at this point it is a mess. Perhaps not when you look at it, but I see a mess.
Check out the page at http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.astrojyotishi.com and you will see 114 errors. There are other errors that aren't even listed, but when the bots come to look at your page, they will get so confused they may not come back.
There is serious need for SEO work also and whoever is doing the repairs, should be willing and able to work on the SEO aspects, you can get an "expert" later, but for now there are major flaws that need to be addressed. A good designer can work SEO into design, (they go hand in hand), without this work your site will never reach it's potential. Private Reply to John Mack |

The errors shown are all of the Guestbook entries which used to exist but removed from the site due to spamming.

John Mack | | You could start with everything above the "body" tag. Your meta's are lacking, you have several "head" sections, even in the body. Get yourself a style sheet and stick to it. I could care less about image tags, but the rest if a mess, (seriously). Clean up your code before you think about getting visitors.
I have a hard time believing this is all from a previous guestbook script, but whatever the case clean up what you have and ask where to go from there Private Reply to John Mack |
