When reading your weblog do people experience quickening of the heart and profuse sweating? Have they furiously clicked and bashed their mouse? If so, they may suffer from the Mouse Rage Syndrome. A report published by the UK Social Issues Research Centre suggests that there is a link between badly designed websites and negative effects on human health (http://www.techweb.com/wire/software/196603628). Badly designed websites can directly cause stress and anger amongst those using them.
Mouse rage is caused by websites that have slow to load pages, excessive pop-ups, unnecessary advertising, site unavailability and which are difficult to navigate.
The most important question for you, of course, is whether your weblog is designed or hosted so badly that it contributes to the stress of your visitors. Is there room for improvement?
