It was very interesting. I had known for a while that garlic was good for cardivascular problems and helps lower cholesterol, but it was interesting finding out that it is also good for diabetics! The article states that garlic helps diabetics by stimulating the Isles of Langerhans (the pancreatic cell clusters), increasing insulin production and lowering blood sugar. So if you are diabetic, definitely consider cooking with garlic everyday and also taking a garlic supplement.
For those who have trouble with staying alert, you might be excited to know that garlic also stimulates the brain and helps keep us alert and energized. Not only does it slow the destruction of brain cells, it also causes new brain neurons to branch out. Pretty cool, huh?
Live healthy! Help prevent diabetes with garlic and a garlic oil supplement.
