All the talk of pumpkin on here, I decided to do a pumpkin pie for my daughter.
Seems every one I have tried, fails.. lol.
I also don't like them premade things.
Preferably something that doesn't require the shortening like crisco etc. Can't seem to find that here.

Sorry for the slow response. I usually use a store bought pie crust and go from there. If I do make it I use a recipe that calls for Crisco.
Haven't found a good recipe to make it without Crisco as it tends to turn out tough.
Hopefully we will get more responses here and find a solution for you.
