| I recently posted this in a blog in one of my other networks. I've watched what started out as a really good network here slowly become just another add forum which is disheartening. Perhaps Ryze has lost its luster as a networking avenue. I am a network marketer. I network onRyze and I market on Ryze.
With a few exceptions I let the marketing be a byproduct of my networking and it has been quite effective for me. I'll be redoing my Ryze page shortly to reflect that. Ads are a penny a dozen in many Ryze networks now. I believe people came here looking for more than product, biz opp, and web2.0 ads. So I thought I'd throw this in here and maybe it will stimulate questions and contributions geared more towards training...or at the very least re-introduce "networking" to the network.
Everyone of us would love a little recognition. It's the nature of the human beast. As I've looked through the list of new members of this elite group there are many I'd like to bring into my organization right now. Each of us are proud of our businesses and believe we each have the best one out there. With that in mind, remember how you feel each time you're pitched a new opportunity.
Personally, I feel honored that someone thought enough of me to approach me...that is until I've found some have rung every door bell on the network. None the less, I always try to be courteous in my reponse, helpful where possible, and cognisant of the fact that in business there are always situations beyond our control and they may be looking to me for sponsorship one day...or I may have to look for a new business someday (not that any of us ever expect that to occur).
Obviously I hope to have something to offer everyone here. Be it the business itself, a particular product, or advice. But in the true essence of networking l mainly want to know who does what for whom. If I come across someone who has a need for a particular product or service I can't offer I want to feel confident in the direction and to whom I might recommend them. I hope you'll approch things the same. The rest will take care of itself.
I look forward to knowing more about you, but please, no reverse recruiting tactics.
Wishing you great success in your pursuit of your dreams,
Gery D
