I have some thoughts on what to do for this. A write up published in the local newspaper is one thing. I am going to issue some press releases on the Internet as well. Some local people will probably see it. Also I am thinking of having it put on the local channel that broadcasts about local events. Since it is a community event your local cable company may be able to advertise it on your community channel.
These are just a few of my ramblings I am considering. If anyone else has any thoughts on this please let me hear them.

Do you have a location in mind? Is there a Border's near you? If so, they have agreed to a national campaign in marketing and hosting the discussion groups. You can contact Tim McGinty, a facilitator in NE Ohio and he can help arrange that for you. His email is timmcginty@iib.ws.
Also, I'll send you the press release writing booklet. I sent one to all the facilitators as they completed their training. This will help you with a template, etc. If you haven't written one before.
Here are some other marketing avenues:
* Small Business Development Center - you can locate one in your area by going to www.asbdc-us.org.
* National Business Incubators - ditto on the above - here's the link to find one near you: www.nbia.org
* Libraries and chambers of commerce, economic development centers, community development associations - basically the interlocking network of business in a community.
Let me know where and when you will host your group and I'll add it to the list on my website.
Sincerely, Suzanne

Best of luck with your groups. I posted my Press Release about the groups a couple of threads down on the main message board. It produced a number of postings in the local media both paper and electronic.
Other outlets to remember are local business magazines. They typically are more willing to focus on and promote local events. Additionally, do not forget about local message boards and forums. They too have produced a number of registrants for me.

They would be good too but I think B&N would probably be better.
I am really excited about all this. When we start it might be a good idea to have some of your books on hand so those in attendance can get in depth on what it takes to develop the mindset of an entrepreneur. How would I work that with obtaining copies of your book that shows a sincere interest in building their entrepreneur abilities?

A few facilitators had asked questions about that. As far as I know, this is the best way to get a discounted bulk purchase directly from the publisher. http://www.ryze.com/posttopic.php?topicid=926721&confid=3256 I wonder if Webster's book store is owned by Borders. I know Borders owns a few stores that are under a different name. Keep me posted on when you finish your training so I can get you certified and add your group to the discussion group list.
