Hope Gamble | | Hello,
I just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hello"
My name is Hope Gamble and I just recently joined this network and I am new to Ryze as well. So far my experience has been positive and I look forward to making new connections as I journey into the world of entrepreneurship.
I am in the process of exploring and laying the groundwork for a home-based business as a virtual assistant. I have a background in Hospitality, Food Service & Event Services; so I plan for my target market to be small business owners who are caterers & independent planners. I am going to start small, so for right now I plan to market to those owners within my home state, then as I grow, then perhaps expand to other states.
Any advice on market research, developing a market plan and finances/funding would be greatly appreciated.

Have you created a profile, or bid on some freelance projects at elance.com, or guru.com. This should start your business and build a profile as a virtual assistant and give you some samples and social credibility elements.
