Creating an online lens is like creating a Ryze account. It's creation is no "magic bullet" for getting business. The magic comes when you are able to make connections with other people that results in more business for your company.

Believe ir or not, Squidoo.com actually has a DESIGN that encourages others to help you spread YOUR MESSAGE. One feature of that design is called "Squidoo Groups." Once you have created your Squidoo lens, sign up for as many Squidoo groups as you deem are appropriate. If the folks managing those groups are in agreement with you as to the relevance of your lens to their group, guess what? Those folks will actively promote your lens.

It is important to realize that Squidoo lenses are not simply about the value you place within them, but the value others place within them or on them. Squidoo now has "Squidoo Groups." If you submit your lens to a Squidoo Group and that group accepts your lens into their group, they will showcase that lens. This can add significant exposure for you if done properly. For example, I have one lens that is currently being given exposure on 40+ different Squidoo Groups. This is no mere accident. It is by design. I asked for the exposure from a great many Squidoo Groups. Some agreed. Hence, the additional exposure.
