Exceed Magazine | | Hello All,
In case you haven't "met" me already, I am Katrena Patterson, the Founder & Publisher of Exceed Magazine and the Moderator of the Growth, Productivity and Wellness Network.
I started the group for two reasons. First, I am fairly new to the practice of business networking. I've been to several networking events and joined a small number of groups, but I am always eager to meet new people, exchange ideas, etc.
Second, Exceed Magazine is my baby. I recognize that it's a new publication and we have to build our reputation. That's NOT going to come without any obstacles. There are lots of strong publications out there, and a great deal of them are very well branded. But I don't want to be just another magazine publisher. I want Exceed Magazine to be interactive and embraced by the community. I would like for this group to be a place where we share valuable information, exchange positive feedback with one another and LEARN from the experiences of our members.
For example: If you called 100 people on last Tuesday (or today) to introduce yourself & your business and you received 100 immediate transfers to "Tone" (as in Mr. Dial Tone), tell us about it. Yes, it's a bad experience, but maybe someone in the network has experienced that already. Maybe they can offer you some encouragement AND some sound advice that might work to your advantage for next Tuesday's calls :-)

I'm Karyn Beach ~ a success coach and the founder/editor of DivaSoulSista.com, a movie review site. I definitely understand what it is to cultivate your baby! That's how I feel about my site, I've grown it to a point where I have over 450 reviews! Congratuations on the magazine, that is a definite accomplishment.
Like you, I am pretty new to online business networking. I've dabbled in Linked In and FaceBook but Ryze was recommended to me by a friend and so far, I like it the best. I like the way it's set up and it seems to be the one that is most focused on business. I've had some interesting discussions with some interesting and intelligent business people so far.
Looking forward to contributing to the discussions on this board!
