The Declaration of Independence finally makes immense sense!

I’m sure this is a landmark in the hoary history of the US – a place where a section of people were treated as slaves once. By electing Obama, the US has certainly overcome a psychological barrier.

Now, I’m looking forward to a woman getting elected as the US President in the 2012 election.

Well, I thought that Hilary Clinton would have been voted in, before Obama. Though I love Palin. Of course Israel long ago had a woman Prime Minister, and India too.

What about Condoleezza Rice in the 2012 Presidential Elections?

"Everything is possible in America": president elect Obama, said in his victory speech.

A gracious concession speech by senator McCain and offering his support to president elect Obama.

Wish Obama/Biden well!

Cheers, Blessings,

The Presidential Prayer Team is pleased to commit itself and it’s nearly 500,000 members to pray for the newly elected President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

Calling in his acceptance speech for a new spirit of patriotism, service and sacrifice from the American people, President-Elect Obama swept to victory over Republican John McCain as the first African-American to hold the nation’s highest political office.

"We are and always will be the United States of America,” President-Elect Obama said from Grant Park in Chicago, IL. “A government of the people, by the people, and for the people has not perished from the face of the earth. This victory is for you.”

While saying a new dawn of American leadership is at hand, President-Elect Obama recognized that the road ahead may be tough and the climb steep in meeting the many challenges facing the nation, but that “we as a people will get there,” a sentiment followed by chants of “Yes We Can” from the huge Chicago crowd. He also called Republican presidential candidate John McCain a “brave and selfless leader” and said he looks forward to working with him and Governor Sarah Palin in the months to come.

Our faithful prayers for President-Elect Obama and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden are desperately needed. Their new administration faces the challenges of a struggling economy, active wars against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan, and energy and environmental concerns - all perhaps unprecedented in a generation. With I Timothy 2:1-2 as our biblical mandate, The Presidential Prayer Team is dedicated to praying for our new president’s wisdom, protection and success as he faces these issues, and many more, over the next four years

Today, we are launching a countdown in prayer from Election to Inauguration for President-Elect Obama! It’s called 77 Days of Prayer for our New President, and I encourage you to please sign up for this prayer initiative now using the link below.

My Heartiest Congratulations to America and the American people. Americans have proved to the entire World that they are democratic by heart and every American citizen is a “King” at heart. Let the new president start saying “ Yes, We Will” instead of “ Yes, We Can” to foster peace, compassion and Development in the Planet.

Thanks so much Mike!
These were all great individuals and some in fact my heroes.
Rest assured these people met every word they spoke and lived by them. Great speeches are empty vessels if they are made to promote the betterment of ones self instead of the promotion of truth and the betterment of mankind. The greatest of all words were spoken by the savior (not Obama)
It would have been nice if he could have had a spot in the movie. I still loved it though.

I am a membrt of the prayer team, too, but I did not know it carries over to Democrats. I think we need to keep our eyes open. Who else ever had to call and apologize for being unkind in his first press conference?

“I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior” (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

I just heard that the Obama camp has been planning since August on overturning all of Bushes executive orders. I think Prayers ought to be directed for the survival of the US as we know it. Also the so called "Fairness Doctrine" is getting much attention. Kiss freedom of the press good-bye folks. I truthfully thought that Obamas' campaign rhetoric was no more than words and speeches to get him elected but is looking like he is more far left than I could have immagined.

At least President Bush welcomed Obama benevolently to the White House. Congress will sort it all out. The idea is to work together.

Yes, a master of dreams was Joseph and second in command to Pharaoh, and who saved Egypt from dire famine, as well as all the surrounding countries.

I am with Claire on this one. Obamas' intent is to work with both sides of Congress but I think he will have massive problems with his own party. He has made promises that in a good environment would be impossible to keep. Many of them would have a devastating effect not only on the US but other countries as well. The question is: Does he do what is in the best interest of the country and others, or does he follow through on the rhetoric that got him elected. Hopefully he will do the former.
Speaker of the House, Wicked Witch of the West Nancy Pelosi is extremely liberal and extremely partisan as well as her counterpart in the Senate Harry Reid, and they control what goes to the floor for debate. I don't think these two live in the real world, but in general I don't think liberals do either. In any case, I think you are going to see a lot of disappointed Obama voters and a press core that will turn on him in a minute who are also Obama supporters, and all those unions that supported him.
When reality meets campaign rhetoric somebody is going to be very dissapointed. Time will tell, let the fireworks begin!

Ed - I think the disappointment will be that Obama isn't the radical devil he's been depicted as. We will learn that he is more of a pragmatist and looks toward the goal. If ground conditions necessisate changing the timeline for campaign promises, he will react with intelligence and calm. One thing is certain, he will be leading from "The Bottom Up." Reaganomics are over! The pendulum has swung -- as it always does.

Obama is taking office during horrific financial/military crises. He needs our prayers and also prayers that we will cut him some slack and hold back before making judgment. He has communication skills on his side (not unlike FDR) and will need to use these talents creatively to keep hope alive and fear under check.

As far as Hillary Clinton....looks as if there's a good chance she'll be our next Secretary of State. That will be quite a team!

Best wishes to them and to the USA!
