Hi- I am new to Ryze and to internet marketing. I guess I am doing a few things right, because my Neways business has just taken off like a cat being chased by a pit bull. I started out becoming a distributor just to make enough to buy the products I wanted, so my husband would not make faces when the credit card bill came...but WOW! Now I want to take it really seriously! This board sounded like it has some power and ideas behind it, so I am here to learn from you.
Please stop by, say hi and feel to PM me if you have any helpful suggestions. You said this board tended to be inactive but could be active - WELL LET'S GET IT GOING
Looking forward to getting to know you!
Rita

Hi Sara.

It's more about bringing people together,
rather than setting ourselves apart ~

Welcome, Sara! We're not real active on this network but we can be. From a personal perspective, I can recommend blogging and podcasting as ways to set yourself apart if you haven't already started doing that. Both add a more personal touch to your business efforts. I discovered both of those by joining the International Virtual Women's Chamber of Commerce (http:www.ivwcc.org). Everyone there is unique in her own way. You might want to check it out.

This is very good insight, and it's very valuable to how business should be conducted. I totally agree with Max.

LASSE BURHOLT...Everywhere!

SUCCESS DEPENDS ON USING NOT OPPOSING

-----------------------------------------------------------

The world is primarily constituted on the basis of harmony.
Everything works in cooperation with something else.

Personal relationships are the fertile soil
from which all advancement, all success,
all achievement in real life grows.

Put yourself in another's place.
Only then will you know why they think and do certain things.
Once you understand how quickly people will grant your requests
when those requests appeal to their self interest,
you can have practically anything you go after.

It's through coopereation not conflict,
that you'll achieve your greatest success.

07/21/05Droppin' in to say hello #

Denise Michaels

I know I haven't posted here at Slightly Famous for awhile. In June I was in NY City for 12 days and then two quick weekend trips to California, plus a lousy cold that just hung on. I hadn't had a cold in over two years.

Then the biggie. My mom had a heart attack and on July 2nd open heart bypass surgery. So I flew out to Detroit and tied it together with another business trip to Chicago. Then Ernie and I were home less than 48 hours when we make the 4.5 hour drive to California again.

Btw, we were going to babysit Ernie's grandson Wyatt, age one, because his parents decided to go to Cancun Mexico for vacation. Yes, Hurricane Emily ravaged Cancun. We just got a call from another relative who got an email - that they're okay.

So this summer is a whirlwind but I'm happy to drop in and say "howdy" and I hope you've been having a great summer.

All the best,

06/07/05re: Powerful Teleseminars to Assist You - 4 for June #

D.R. Bennett

Hi Rene,

I'm not surprised to see the price for these seminars.
Dr. Wayne Dyer allows almost $300.00 for his seminars.
It kind of sickens my stomach, but such as is.
I also do seminars about The Power of The Present Moment (free). I don't believe in charging money for the spiritual gifts God has given me. To each his/her own.~

05/04/052 TV shows lined up - need your help for the following #

Valerie Vauthey - MyPrivateCoach

Hello!

I have two national TV shows lined up in Canada in 3 weeks and I have been told so many things about the do's and don'ts of TV that I am confused.
Here is what I have on my list, can you please confirm and/or add suggestions?

- do not wear BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, GREEN, STRIPED, POLKA DOTS
- no moving jewelry
- straight hair is better than curly
- you can talk with your hands (good for me!)
- if you are sitting on a swivel chair, don't spin like crazy :o)
- don't look at at the camera but only at the host

Thanks for your help!
Cheers!

Jenny,

Our radio show is strictly small-town. The radio station we broadcast for doesn't even have a website. We've been trying to get them to do one for a long time (I'm a local web designer, too). Rog and I do have a blog at http://pcprimer.blogspot.com that we just started a few days ago and I also do a recap of each weekly show on my website, http://www.2smartchix.com.

Thanks for sending Tom's information along. I'll definitely pay him a cyber-visit! BTW: I used to live in Dallas and visited Austin every summer. Lake Travis is gorgeous!

Hi Paige,

Are you ever in the right place! Does the radio station feed their show to the Internet? If so, they'll be picked up by thousands of iPoders who would find it interesting and informative.

And if they don't feed it to the I'net, you could summarize the questions and your answers in your blog. A terrific way to get even more famous.

I edit a blog for an SEO here in Austin, named Tom Parish. He's also a Ryzer. http://www.4webresults.com/blog. He has a home studio where he adds audio and video on his blog, and he's knowledgeable about RSS feeds, etc.

Give him a holler.

03/15/05Starting A Web TV Show To Get Slightly Famous #

Shai Coggins

My friend and I recently launched a web TV show called FreshWave.TV - http://freshwave.tv/ - to ride the latest wave to hit the internet - video blogging (or vlogging/vidcasting/vogging).

Is anyone else here using this medium to get noticed? Do you think you'd like to hire someone to do this sort of thing for you and your business?

02/22/05I'm finally, finally, finally finished writing my book!!! #

Denise Michaels

It's been more than three years in the making but I finally did it. My book, "Testosterone Free Marketing: The Yin and Yang of Marketing for Women" is finally finished.

For the last couple months I've been saying my book is done - and it was really close - but there were little niggling details that were still unfinished. I was saying that because I wanted to affirm the positive - y'know, practise the future. But I felt like I was out of integrity every time I said it. And because I've been working on the book for such a long time people asking me, "Have you finished your book yet?" has gotten to be an almost painful question to hear.

Last month Ernie and I went away for a long weekend to a Victorian B&B in the Southern mountains of Utah. I worked tirelessly on the book in this beautiful, relaxing environment - even stayed a fourth night to give me more time - but alas and alack the book still wasn't finished. As we drove home I was hopeful but I knew it still wasn't complete.

Then I got some devastating news. I talked with a couple publishers and learned that I needed to communicate the same message in about 20 percent less words. That's a lot to trim from a 15 chapter book. I took out absolutely anything that might be perceived as unneccessary and tried to communicate the same message in a lot less words. It was tough but I did it.

I made another reservation at The Baker House http://www.bakerhouse.net less than a week after we returned from the last trip. I thought that this weekend away would be to finish writing my website copy. Not a chance. The date kept creeping closer and I get so pulled away with other things to do - I just wasn't able to put the time into finishing the book before last Thursday February 17th when we headed north to the B&B again.

Again I said, "Okay, I'm going to finish my book." Well at about 6:00 pm Saturday night I did that. It's complete. Ernie gave me a big hug and I cried tears of joy and relief.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

My plan is to release the book on Mother's Day.

All the best,

Denise Michaels
