Need information: Calcutta to Dhaka by train

I just read in www.seat61.com that there is a train from Sealdah(Calcutta) to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The writer says sometime in April 14, '07 the train ride started. Are there any visa requirements for US citizens to enter Bangladesh from India?

Any details of this train ride about time/schedule, classes, is appreciated (I prefer night train with sleeping berths). according the Bangladesh railways, there are some major cities that can be explored, such as Dhaka, Chittagong and Syhlet.
