Joe Summy		A Principle of Life: Intentionally Reaching Self Actualization Problems are a way of life and I don't like them any more than anyone else. However, it is through the power within each of us that we are able to solve or at least deal with problems. Then an amazing thing occurs when we go through a deliberate process to solve problems; later, we are usually given "bigger and more difficult" problems to deal with as we grow in the power of wisdom and character to do so as we gradually grow towards self-actualization. A mentor is not your problem solver. A mentor is one who has grown to the level of self-actualization who can help the mentee understand the processes of intentionality needed to reach the level of self-actualization. They can help people recognize the power and the flaws within them. Most of these mentors are well grounded in "Reality Theory", the "Hierarachy of Human Needs", and "Intentionally". A mentor who understands these principles is rare and is much needed by people from all walks of life.From business people, political leaders, parents to.....etc. A mentor can make the journey to self-actualization much more intentional and rewarding. If I was starting out again I would intentionally find myself a mentor who understands the above. Now, after 30 years, I am fortunate to say that I "intentionally" have several.
