no, you can always migrate, though it's sometimes complicated, especially as time wears on.

by "control of the data" i meant that with blogger your data is stored on blogger's server (although the actual outputted content can be hosted on a site you control more directly). with radio the data lives on your home computer and with movable type it lives on the same server where the site appears.
