Govind Srinivasan
We have in our midst, in WCFC, some of the best thinkers and action-heros of Chennai. One such is Mr. K. Srinivasan. http://www.ryze.com/view.php?who=prpoint

Prime Point Foundation is a brainchild of Srinivasan and it is his passion too. http://www.primepointfoundation.org/

Srinivasan invited me for a "Roundtable discussion" on "Internal Communication". This was held at Hotel Palmgrove on 9th of this month. I attended this discussion programme and was immensely satisfied with the content and the quality of the programme. Here is the report of the programme, as published Srinivasan in the Foundation's website.

------------------------------------------------------
Prime Point Foundation, Chennai conducted a Roundtable discussion on 9th April 2005 to discuss the various aspects of challenges of communication within the organisation. Many HR consultants, HR Managers, Trainers, Corporates, Professors, students, young employees participated and shared their views.

Some of the important aspects that came up were :

1. Only one person out of 41 persons interviewed are employable in India
2. Academicians should prepare the students to suit the industry - Corporates should enter 'Education'
3. The expectations of the present day youth is very high and leads to lot of problems
4. 'War of talents' has entered manufacturing industry and they are in a hurry to source good talents
5. Internal communication system in the Corporates are very poor - needs to be improved
6. Need for professional ethics and value system
7. Need for HR - PR integration, etc
8. Preserve the 'family system' for better soft skills
