Yes Sharada, I love the food at Eden. The only challenge there is getting a table- they're too crowded.

Vishranti, the low ceiling, dimly lit restaurant on the same road is also a decent place.

Mathura in the Tarapore Towers on Mount Road used to be a nice family joint - I don’t know how it is these days though.

I have always liked Geeta Cafe in Pondy Bazaar for a light snack, after some good shopping- the ambience may not be very impressive though. Murugan Idly shop is another small joint on G.N. Chetty Rd(I think)- one should ask for "Chakkara Pongal" in the mornings there- it just melts in your mouth!
