Time for a Chennai Agenda Task Force?

Hi all,

I just joined this network. Though I'm from Chennai, education and work took me across the world, and it's only recently that my wife and I decided to return home to Chennai.

When I was in Bangalore some time ago, I was enthused by the concept of the Bangalore Agenda Task Force brought into being by the then Bangalore Mayor - Jeyakar Jerome. Though Mr.Jerome has since fallen out with his political masters and BATF is no longer effective, I believe it did a lot of good to that city when it was functional.

Given that the Chennai government has recently come out with a City Develoment Plan, I think a CAFT (Chennai Agenda Task Force) spearheaded by concerned citizen would be a great help in implementing many of the initiatives in the Development Plan.
