Hello WCFC Members,
Yes, we are a 30-lot now. Good enough to make a start, but not strong enough to survive. Most NGO voluntary activities flag off, if the Group is not charged with enthu and a strong fellow-feeling. The tempo dies even at the take-off stage.
Kalpana had suggested that we should start ACTing at least now. She has that verve and the zest. I would like to get in touch with a few more and get the activities going.
Yes, Chennai craves for attention from all of us. With so much of downpour of rain, there is still a strong case for putting our heads together on the WATER issue. After all, Chennai's water crisis is not something new and has a settled history. Who knows how the next summer will look like?
As I have been telling, WATER is a symbolic identity and not the be-all and end-all of what we can do in WCFC. Knowing like-minded people, with a purpose, enhances our own vision and broadens our horizon. Networking with a strong sense of purpose is what we can aim towards.
Is there anybody here, who can lend their organizational capability to make our first informal meet possible? And about inviting a few more of your CHENNAI friends to troop into this WCFC Network? Think of it. We will become a strong 100+, if each of us can bring at least 2-3 of our Chennai contacts. And that will give the comfort factor.
