Dear All, I attended a Workshop conducted by Sneha, a non governmental organisation, which is offering emotional support to people who are depressed, desperate or suicidal in the wake of the tsunami disaster. This Workshop is very helpful for those who wish to talk to the Tsunami affected people. They need a lot of emotional support and knowing how to address these problems will highly benefit them. I request all of you to make use of this wonderful opportunity and get trained and help the Tsunami victims more. The best part of this program is that it is free and equips each one to handle the situation and be of great help to these unfortunate people whose loss is multidimensional and unless we know how to talk to them, we should never venture into it in the first place. With this training, we can handle it to a certain extent and from there the professionals can take over.
Who can attend? This workshop is for field workers, volunteers, NGOs, medical prefessionals and all those involved with relief and rehabilitation work.
How to get in touch? You can directly call 28352345/28352829 or visit their office at 7, Besant Road, Royapettah. Please mention you saw the posting in Ryze by Kanchana of Ammucare. Private Reply to Kanchana Ravichandran (new win) |
