This is my current Fav -

Moonrakers - its off Mahabalipuram (# 34, Othavadai St, Mahabs, 603104).

The place is quaint little fishing hotel. Fishermen drop off their catch at the hotel. Customers chose their catch and get them cooked.

Its got mirrors, innumerable artefacts adorning the walls, old B\w pictures of India, its freedom fighters, etc.
They even cater to inhouse massages...

Their speciality -
Tiger Prawns
Shrimp sauted in Garlic butter sauce.
Catch of the Day - Be sure to ask the details and the price as this is seasonal.

The food is out of this world. A sunday drive to this place is all but worth it.

Wash it down with some cold beer and you are ready to start the rest of week.
