General Power of Attorney

Hi,

I am from a non legal background - hence request you to please provide me a clear picture of what is to be done in my situation below.

My sis in US has a site in Bangalore which was purchased 10 years back. Now she wants to get a General Power of Attorney done in my name.

- what is the procedure
- where does it get registered
- is a notary involved?
- how much does the entire process cost? Approx cost for getting it done (stamp paper, various fees etc)

Appreciate if you could provide any other information that would help me understand this entire procedure in a better way.
