I got my first taste of legal work in the Office of the General Counsel as a Legal Assistant for the Research Integrity Branch. The work revolved around scientific misconduct, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism, mostly civil cases, some litigation and a few criminal cases we were tracking. There were several attorneys, a few were litigators, who generated a lot of work and only one paralegal. I got burned out after seven years, but still enjoy interacting with others in the legal field and reading novels by John Gresham as well as legal and forensic television shows.
Now I work with Separation Agreements
My interests are Family Law, specifically for those in alternative lifestyles with divorce and custody issues, a fascinating and emerging field.
Here in the US, each state is different, but I deal with MD and VA.
Interested in finding someone in MD who deals with LLCs, for an upcoming venture
